COMMISSIONING WORK
_________________________________________________
Commissioned Artwork
Commissioned artwork is available on a limited basis. Following a stroke, I have chosen to take on commissions at a slower and more manageable pace, allowing me to give each artwork the time and attention it deserves.
I generally accept one commission at a time, and all requests are reviewed before being accepted. Completion times will vary depending on the size and complexity of the artwork.
If you are interested in commissioning an original work, please submit an inquiry with a description of what you have in mind. There is no obligation to purchase simply by submitting an inquiry.

8/5/2026
For the past nine years, I have had the privilege of teaching art and helping students discover and develop their own creative abilities. Before becoming an art teacher, I worked as a graphic designer, where I gained valuable experience in visual communication, design principles, and creative problem-solving. Both careers have shaped my artistic journey, refining my skills while deepening my appreciation for the power of art to inspire, encourage, and connect with others.
After many rewarding years in education, I felt God leading me in a new direction. I decided to step away from teaching to devote myself fully to creating artwork that reflects my faith and the calling I believe He has placed on my life. Through my drawings, paintings and prints, I hope to share the beauty of God's love, the truth of His Word, and the hope found in Christ. It is my prayer that each piece will not only bring beauty into your home but also serve as a source of encouragement, peace, and inspiration for all who see it.
Small and Medium Galleries.
The Small and Medium Galleries will be opening soon, expanding the collection with additional works centered on Christian themes. These galleries will feature a diverse selection of artwork that reflects faith, hope, and biblical inspiration, offering pieces in a couple of styles and sizes. Whether you're looking for meaningful art for your home, church, or as a thoughtful gift, these upcoming collections will provide beautiful and inspiring options for every setting. May the Lord use it to strengthen the walk of believers.

If circumstances arise that substantially delay the commission, the client will be notified.
5. CHANGES & REVISIONS

If the artist is unable to complete the commission for reasons within the artist's control, the artist will communicate with the client and, where appropriate, provide a refund for payments relating to work that has not been completed.
9. COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP
Upon full payment, the client becomes the owner of the physical original artwork, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist, Nigel Morgan. Purchasing the original artwork does not transfer the artist's copyright to the client.
The artist retains the right to photograph, reproduce, display, and use images of the commissioned artwork for purposes including, but not limited to, the artist's website, portfolio, exhibitions, social media, advertising, publications, and promotional materials.
The client may display the original artwork for personal enjoyment but may not reproduce, sell reproductions of, or commercially distribute images of the artwork without the artist's written permission.
10. REFERENCE MATERIALS
The client represents that they have permission to provide any photographs, images, or other reference materials used for the commission, or that such materials are their own.
The artist will not knowingly reproduce copyrighted material belonging to another person without appropriate permission.
11. ARTISTIC INTERPRETATION
The client understands that a commissioned artwork is an original creative work and that artistic interpretation is an important part of the process.
Differences in color, texture, composition, lighting, brushwork, or other artistic elements between a reference photograph and the finished artwork are to be expected and are not considered defects.

| RELEASE THOSE BAGS, Computer-Generated Illustration |
Some of you may recognize this piece. I created it for my church back in 2008. I remember my pastor calling me into his office and complimenting me on the artwork. After talking for a while, he looked at me and said, “You know that’s you, right?” I asked him what he meant. He explained that, as an artist, it is almost impossible to completely separate yourself from a work like this—that somewhere in the process, I had placed some of my own “bags” into the piece. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what he was saying. I had been attending church for about seven years and believed I was a Christian, but the truth was, I was not yet saved. By God’s grace, I came to know Christ two years later.
Today, when I look back at that conversation, I can say with certainty that my pastor was right. Those bags were mine. Anger. Hurt. Fear. Malice. Pride. Abuse. Some were things that had been done to me; others were sins and burdens that had taken root within me. Over the years, I watched many of them manifest themselves in my life in one way or another, and seeing what was truly in my heart broke me. What I had painted years earlier without fully understanding it eventually became a picture of something much deeper: the weight of sin and the burdens we carry while trying to make our own way in the world.
And that brings me to the Gospel... Jesus Christ did not come for people who believe they have no bags. He came for sinners—for those who, by God’s grace, have begun to see what they are carrying and realize that they cannot save themselves. Christ took the guilt of sinners upon Himself at the cross, died in their place, and rose again so that everyone who repents and trusts in Him may be forgiven and given new life. If God has allowed you to see your own bags today, do not hide them or try to carry them to the end of the road yourself. Bring them to Christ.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
Art, in one form or another, has been part of Nigel Morgan’s life since the age of five. His earliest art inspirations were the few, but impactful illustrations in the Encyclopedia Britannica. Although most of the images were black and white at that time, the colored sections, especially those that depicted wildlife, were captivating. As a young novice developing his craft, Trinidadian artist David Moore also inspired Nigel. Moore’s mindfulness in depicting the old ways of Caribbean life were unlike anything Nigel had seen. Soon, he began to follow the works of Norman Rockwell, Thomas Kinkade, Vincent Van Gogh, and William Steig.
As a Communication Design & Illustration major at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, Nigel aspired to become a wildlife illustrator, but teaching began to weave its way into his life, as he was often approached by onlookers while painting in the parks, cafés, and hang-out places throughout Brooklyn. The questions, “Do you teach art? Do you teach kids?” were often asked of him, and it was in the main seating area of the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Branch that the opportunity to teach youth, adults and older adults was presented to him.
Teaching art is something that Nigel has grown increasingly enthusiastic about. Grateful for the influence and wisdom imparted by the many instructors in his life, Nigel sees it as a privilege to give back to the community in which he lives and was educated.
In September of 2023, I suffered a stroke that kept me in the hospital for nearly two months. The road to recovery was difficult, filled with moments of frustration, uncertainty, and weakness. Yet even in that valley, the Lord was merciful to me. The stroke affected my right side, but in His providence, I am left-handed. What the enemy may have intended to take me into a dark place, God used instead to remind me of something I had too easily forgotten—the brevity and fragility of life. Experiences like these have a way of stripping away distractions and bringing into focus what truly matters.
Recovery was not easy, but through it all, God gave me the grace to see that He had never lost control. Even when I could not understand what was happening, He was still in charge. Looking back, I can see His hand carrying me through some of the hardest moments of my life. I came through that experience stronger, wiser, more grateful, and with a deeper understanding that every day I am given is a gift from Him.
That experience awakened something deep within me. If I am going to fulfill what I believe God has called me to do, I cannot wait for a “better time” or a “more convenient season.” The time is now. Life is too short, and God’s purposes are too precious to delay. I must use whatever gifts He has placed in my hands—however small or simple they may seem—to serve others, encourage those around me, and glorify the One who preserved my life.
I believe my calling is to share God’s Word through art. Art is more than something I create; it is one of the ways God has given me to communicate His truth, His love, His mercy, and the hope found in Him. My desire is that each work I create might point beyond the artist to the Creator and perhaps touch someone who needs to be reminded that, even in life’s darkest valleys, God is still present, God is still faithful, and God is still in control.
